Malawi Cancer Patients

When GMI missionaries Givemore and Sylvia Nyakambiri’s son was diagnosed with leukemia and hospitalized, they were made aware of hardships and needs of others while spending weeks in the hospital. The Nyakambiris, with the help of GMI donors, have been giving gift bags to the families of these patients to ease their burdens. The Nyakambiris would like to continue doing this for another year. Your gift of $7 per child per month will help with the purchase of nutritious food supplies for each of the 70 children who are bedridden at the hospital, along with a toy for those who are being treated at home and are waiting to go to their heavenly home, as well as a tract.

The parents of children with cancer also need help because of the time involved in caring for a sick child while they are at the hospital. Planning for farming, which is the livelihood of most of the parents and guardians, is difficult when caring for a child with cancer. This project targets those who have left the hospital yet are facing critical problems in caring for their sick child together with their siblings.
