Aaron Cordero is Grace Ministries International’s newest missionary candidate who desires to use his gifts and talents to serve the Lord in Nicaragua. He has been a part of the original church associated with GMI in Costa Rica (Communidad Biblica de la Gracia) since the end of 2004 and that has greatly impacted his life. He is one of three older brothers of Raquel Seravalli who, along with her husband Emiliano, is a vital member of GMI’s missionary team in Nicaragua.
In 2012 after living in and enjoying the culture of Uruguay for two years, Aaron knew he wanted to be a missionary. More recently he spent six months in Mexico doing missionary work which only solidified his desire to pursue missions. Aaron has also had short-term missionary experience in both Bolivia and Argentina while also taking several trips to Nicaragua.
Dealing with some serious health challenges as a child very much contributed to the man he is today. He has moved beyond that difficult time to be a vital part of the church serving in the areas of children’s and youth ministries, Kids’ Games, discipleship, and small groups. In addition, he has completed the three-year Bible Institute program on missions in Costa Rica and is excited about the possibility of working in the area of missions full time.
Another area of interest for Aaron has been his involvement in Sonlife Ministries where he took some missionary training in 2013 and has continued his contact with them.
While in Nicaragua working with the team to plant churches and disciple, he will also be involved in self-sustaining agricultural projects, prison and orphan ministry, hospital outreach, and kids and youth ministry. He also desires to head up the project of establishing a new work in the GMI target country of Honduras.
