GMI Executive Director, Jeremy Clark, shares news he received from GMI Team Members, Jack and Jane:
Last week, Jack and Jane serving in Malawi asked for prayer for believers in the village of M—— in a rural region of the country. A radical Muslim group in the area was burning churches and threatening Christians. Jack has asked his Bible study group in the village to leave the region until the situation stabilizes. Jack shared today, “I would like to thank you so much for your prayers! The Lord is at work! Our dear brother whose church and house were destroyed and the few on the wanted list are safe. We have helped provide some clothing and supplies where they are hiding. Please continue praying for their safety and provision.” Some are calling for Jihad in the area which could further escalate the attacks. In the face of this, Jack speaking for believers in the region shares, “In all this, our faith remains unshakable! We have the life that matters most, praise the Lord! Many thanks for your continued prayers!” He also reports that many are coming to faith in Christ!
