Equipping Leaders in Malawi

GMI team member Bill Vinton went to southern Malawi to the village of Ntaja with a team of Malawian pastors to offer two Bible courses: Dispensational I and Practical Theology II (How to Read your Bible).  Fourteen students completed the courses.  Meanwhile, Sue Vinton has been working to train Sunday school teachers.  Recently, the team with which she is working conducted a seminar of ministry zone leaders to provide for better organization of Sunday school ministries and follow-up. GMI team member Titus Lloyd is enjoying his class of students at the Lilongwe campus of the Grace Bible School of Malawi where he is teaching computer skills.  Brook Seekins, who is the youth ministry liaison as a member of the GMI team in Malawi, shares, “My team of leaders did a great job running a youth conference in southern Malawi the end of July.  I have received wonderful reports of participation from local churches; youth ready to do another one soon and add more days so they can learn more; and even young, married couples who attended and have gone home and put into practice some of the things they learned in the Bible teaching times and the breakout groups for married youth.”
