Just as in most countries, it is impossible for us at Grace Bible Church of Costa Rica (IBG) to meet together at this time because of the coronavirus. We are now a stay-at-home church and therefore God’s Church is in homes and neighborhoods. To meet together, encourage each other, and help our Christian family, we have taken our connection groups and repurposed them into our first responder groups for prayer and financial help. For example, a man named Andres grows strawberries, and through our connection groups, he now sells his strawberries to us and others. Families who have no income are being helped by the ministry of our Love and Kindness team. We are also doing our messages and worship services online Sunday mornings and during the week. In addition, we have a new ministry on Facebook that includes a live talk with the pastor, as well as questions and commentaries. We are learning about doing new ministries and always praying that God’s Church in IBG would be reaching out to neighbors with the message of hope and peace in a time of fear and sadness.
