2019 EXITE TEAM UPDATE

Tom and Michelle Sanchez, GMI missionaries in Zambia, wrote an update about the EXITE Team that recently visited them and did ministry in churches and ministry centers nearby. The EXITE Team had a wonderful time in Zambia. Because of their willingness to serve, an entire church building in a very poor neighborhood was painted inside and out (primer plus 2 coats!) and more painting was done at the GMI residence.

In addition the EXITE Team presented a program of a short wordless drama, praise songs, testimonies, and preaching at four churches (Grace Center, Nakoli, Makululu & Livingstone), a ministry to vulnerable children (Safe Haven), and Kabwe Maximum Security Prison, which has 200+ male inmates, who were allowed to attend chapel from both death row and maximum security (“lifer” section). In each place the team members were well received and thanks was given for the team sharing from their hearts.

This comes from the EXITE page on the GMI website: Something exciting happens when we step out of our comfort zone with other students to be the “hands and feet of Jesus.” EXITE is about spiritual growth as we put our faith into action in practical ways serving our Zambian brothers and sisters in Christ. Experience the joy of seeing how God can work through you in new and powerful ways as you share His love with people in need of a Savior in a culture and environment very different than your own. You will learn about their culture and observe how our Zambian brothers and sisters are living out their faith in their own country as well as taking the Gospel of Grace into neighboring countries.
