GMI team member Brook Seekins has been training youth leaders to run four regional youth conferences this year in Malawi. Not only do these conferences challenge the youth who attend, but Brook’s investment in the conference leadership is preparing a new generation of church leaders. The following is what Brook shares about the first of these four conferences:

“Last week we were excited to have almost 50 students from 6 different churches in the central region of Malawi in attendance for our first week of Youth Conferences. We had a great time. It was encouraging to see everyone participating in games, crafts, discussions, music, and Bible lessons.

Each group had time with teachers to discuss life issues based on their specific age and gender. They also had time to work together preparing Bible story skits to share with the whole group. We studied the Fruit of the Spirit and how we should allow the Holy Spirit to lead us daily.

It was a great start to our conferences this year!”
