With a large unused portion of land on the property of the Arraigados church plant in Nagarote, Nicaragua, the missionary team and church want to develop a project to plant spice plants and fruit trees. The goal is to sell the products and generate extra income so the ministry can be self-sustaining. The main obstacle is getting water from a cost-effective and constant water source since Nagarote is hot and dry and there are no streams or rivers nearby. The good news is that underground water sources are plentiful. The idea is to dig a 20-meter deep well and install a solar pump to extract water from the well. This project includes the pump, solar panels, water tank, and structure for the tank.
• $2,840 well water drilling
• $4,545 solar pump system
• $7,385 TOTAL
