Since 2016, the two English-speaking regions of Cameroon have known increasing unrest that has culminated in an ongoing Civil War between the government military forces and a growing English-speaking militia. According to the International Crisis Group, by May of 2019, 530,000 Cameroonians were internally displaced. From contributions made during the Christmas of 2018, GMI, through our affiliated churches in the country, has been able to supply 43 packets of food items and basic necessities to believers in the Kumba area. These packets met the needs of many families for several months. This attracted an outpouring of gratitude and praise to the Lord, and served as a great testimony to the sharing of the love of Christ. With a gift of $115, you can provide rice, cooking oil, salt, detergent, soap and other basic necessities for several months to one of the many families we can reach out to, both in the churches and in other communities in Southern Cameroon. Hundreds of thousands of families are in need but we are targeting at least 100 families in 2020. This is an opportunity to put the love of Christ in action!
Cost for 100 packets = $11,500.
