GMI missionaries Tom and Michelle Sanchez are having a hard time keeping up with the demand for Bible Correspondence Lessons! Last year the main goal was to target church members who would want to study the Bible via correspondence; however, lessons are in high demand in the main Zambian prison, far more than among churchgoers. Recently, Prison Chaplain Jackson said his tally of the number of inmates registered and taking lessons in Kabwe Maximum Security Prison has reached 520 just by word of mouth. They have not yet offered the lessons to the medium security or women’s prisons. Some inmates have taken on the role of Bible study teachers, forming cell groups, and are using correspondence lessons as teaching materials.
Total cost $8,800.
