Brett & Debby Chapman

Growing up was very different for Brett and Debby.

Debby became a Christian at a very young age and grew up with parents who were missionaries. Brett became a Christian when he was 16 and came from a family that was bitter towards “organized religion.” Even though they have had much different beginnings both were deeply challenged as teenagers to serve the Lord, and specifically as foreign missionaries. They began dating in Bible college and were married after they graduated. They then spent the next seven years serving in the local church, first in Wisconsin and then in Florida.

During their time in Florida, Brett joined the staff at Grace Bible Church and they were involved in many different teaching and serving ministries within the church. This time gave Brett and Debby the chance to grow together, see the Lord work in their lives and ministry, and start a family. They have two daughters, Chloe and Lily, and twin sons, Ethan and Asher, who joined the family on January 26, 2016.

They joined the Roth and Seravalli families in beginning a new work with GMI in Nicaragua in February 2015. They are excited to plant churches, teach Bible classes, and mostly see lives changed by the amazing message of the grace of God in and around the city of Matagalpa where they are living and serving.
